Careers

At Davis Homes, our mission goes beyond providing guidance and support for children and young people in long-term residential care.

We are equally committed to fostering the growth and development of our staff, ensuring they thrive and advance in their careers.

Caring for children up to 18 years old, we offer nurturing environments where they can heal and grow. Many of the young people in our care face emotional and behavioural challenges.

To continue delivering the highest standard of care, we are seeking individuals with the following qualities:

Resilience

A kind and compassionate nature

A growth mindset

The ability to set clear boundaries

A commitment to earning a Level 3 Diploma qualification

If you are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people, we invite you to apply. We are looking for caring individuals who can step into a “professional parent” role, providing a safe, consistent, and supportive environment where children can flourish and reach their full potential.

    Recruitment Process

    Interviews

We recognise the importance of selecting the right individuals for our team. Our interview process is designed not only to assess candidates’ qualifications and experience but also to evaluate their values, attitudes, and suitability for working with children in our homes. This two-stage process ensures we identify those with the resilience, empathy, and commitment necessary to provide the highest level of care.

    Inductions

The induction process is an essential step in integrating new staff into the Davis Homes community. We provide a thorough introduction to our ethos, policies, and procedures, ensuring all team members are fully equipped to uphold the standards required in residential care. The induction includes both in-person and online components, giving staff the knowledge and confidence to begin their roles effectively while fostering a culture of safety and consistency from day one.

    Training

Ongoing training is central to our commitment to excellence. In addition to mandatory training programs required under the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted guidelines. We believe that continuous professional development is key to helping our staff grow in their roles while providing the best possible care to the children and young people we support.

    Career Progression

We believe in nurturing the growth of our team just as much as the children we care for. At Davis Homes, employees are encouraged to pursue meaningful career development, with clear pathways to advance within the organisation. From leadership opportunities to specialised therapeutic training, we provide the tools and support necessary to help our staff excel. Whether you’re looking to gain further qualifications, such as the Level 3 Diploma, or take on more responsibility in a management role, we are committed to helping you achieve your career goals while making a real difference in the lives of young people.
